    My role at University of Maryland Bee Lab is to support Maryland beekeepers and provide educational opportunities for better understanding the health and management of honey bee colonies and developing a variety of train-the-trainer classes and courses. Managing colonies for the UMD Bee Lab entails working both in the lab and in the field to ensure the health of our managed colonies and recording inspection data to help inform us on timely and continue to facilitate educating beekeepers on best management practices in Maryland. Other aspects of my work include maintaining our honey house, barn, equipment, managing field work days, and working closely with our lab leadership, lab team, and undergrads on projects involving live bees and courses.
