FLL has grown into an international competition of over 200,000 students. Our team was comprised of serious students wishing to develop STEM skills (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Most of the tasks are completed during the weekly meetings, but some at-home work is required for a research project into a current engineering problem. The team gives a five-minute presentation of their research at the tournament. After four seasons the team has received the Judges Award, won the Robot Design Award twice at Qualifying Tournaments, advanced to the State Championship twice, and received the Mechanical Design Award.
