PCB Layout using Cadence Allegro PCB Editor and Altium Designer. Designs included single and multilayer boards. Routing of BGAs, QFPs with blind/buried vias, controlled impedance, matched lengths. Components mounted on top and bottom sides and at angles other than 90 degrees. Examples are data acquisition boards, high speed ADC evaluation boards with single ended and/or differential pairs, signals.Schematic entry using Cadence Allegro Design Entry CIS, Altium Designer, OrCad Schematic Capture. Worked closely with engineers to get clean designs for PCB Layout. Update designs to help create clean flowing layout.Coordinate efforts to have boards fabricated and assembled, both in-house (myself) and/or an outside vendor. Test and debug, if need be, of evaluation boards. Working in the Applications Engineering group to build Prototype boards using Vector boards to test and evaluate National Semiconductor's AFE's. Tested and collected data for National Semiconductor's ADC's. Keep the laboratory stocked with necessary parts.

Test, adjust and repair power supplies using test procedures and schematics. Knowledge of digital multimeter and oscilloscope.

As an engineering aide in Test Engineering, I helped develop equipment that tested incoming components. As new equipment was developed, test procedure must be written to guide the operators of said equipment. Also in this aspect, I supported various manufacturing departments to ensure the equipment was working properly and updating this equipment when needed.In the RMA department I was responsible for repairing returns from the field and providing a detailed report as to the cause of the failure. Working in the Continuation Eng. Dept., I followed up the returned failure trends to help determine if design changes could prevent future failures. Started as a manufacturing technician repairing DC to DC power converters and AC to DC power supplies.

Writing programs for the Sentry Xincom 5588 memory tester. Programmed Proms and Eproms using Data I/O Unisite 40. Perform burn-in tests, temperature cycle tests, electrical tests and fill out reports for qualification of memory components for Wang Labs. Build load boards for electrical tests and burn-in boards for burn-in tests. Open parts in the failure analysis lab to locate problems on the die. Writing specifications for memory parts that are in use at Wang Labs. Dealt with vendors on the technical aspect of their integrated circuits.
