About Eric Mattson/Oral

Curator interested in sound, audio art, music and media arts, Eric Mattson is regularly invited to program digital arts and electronic music festivals nationally and internationally. As member of Le Bloc ORAL, founded in 1998, he has produced CDs and DVDs by Québec, Canadian and international artists and musicians. An inspired researcher, he supports exploratory music through unique presentations and has published monographs on the Montreal group Sonde and artist Jean-Pierre Gauthier, as well as a document on the Minibloc installation Oreilles. In 2012, he published a set of four vinyl discs with painter Pierre Dorion. Worked in the past with Festival du Nouveau Cinema de Montreal, SAT, MUTEK, Club Transmediale (berlin), Les Productions MINUTE. Presently works with Le Bloc ORAL, Les Impatients and as an independent curator,http://www.oral.qc.ca
