Safety Supervisor
CurrentAnalyze and troubleshoot problems in a refinery. Inspect work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, and federal safety policies and regulations. Documenting safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures and recommending corrective procedures, and maintaining safety equipment supply and availability. Ensuring that workers are properly trained regarding company-specific and Occupational Safety and Health Act, or OSHA, safety requirements. Creating, maintaining and communicating safety-related policies and procedures, as well as ensuring that they are followed. Conduct safety orientations, daily "toolbox" safety meetings, periodic safety meetings and formal training sessions on a wide range of safety-related topics. Lead occupational accident and occupational illness investigations to determine the cause so that such problems can be prevented in the future.
