As a Residence Hall Advisor at Brigham Young University, I strive to create meaningful experiences for students through mentorship and innovation. I care deeply about peer leadership, with over 7 years of experience in roles that prioritize educating college students with skills necessary to academic and social success. Additionally, I believe in the power of teamwork as a structure of excelling in the delivery of high-quality experiences to tenants. By coordinating team members' efforts and cultivating their strengths, we provide excellent service to hundreds of tenants. To enhance our impact, I analyze teammate reports with the intent of teasing out obscured trends that I can adapt into training opportunities for my team. My skill set includes:►Educational Programming- Collaborate with peers to create an event aimed at educating 1500 students about changes to university housing policy, along with presenting new resources to enable students to comply with housing guidelines.►Team Leadership- Supervise the ongoing efforts of 4 part-time student employees and develop weekly staff trainings to respond to real-time student concerns.►Property Management- Oversee the operation of 43 apartment units and coordinate with maintenance and custodial teams to provide a clean and safe living environment for 230 tenants.In my experience in University Housing, I have a QPR suicide prevention certification.
