Originally worked as Lead Mechanic on two Standard Formula Mazda cars for drivers Bryan Willman and Pierre Ehret in the Star Mazda Championship. Transitioned in 1998 to performing engineering and race setup duties for the same cars and drivers. In 2000 assumed data acquisition duties for all six cars and drivers running in the championship. Responsible for maintaining systems on the cars, post session analysis with drivers, and also served as spotter for driver Scott Bradley during on track sessions.
