Project Xcellence Business Transformation Project – Director of Purchasing OperationsThe focus of this project was to design, develop and implement a streamlined, standardized, and scalable operational platform centered on Oracle’s EnterpriseOne ERP system. The project encompassed all business activities from point of sale through homebuyer warranty. My role on the project team was that of Director of Purchasing Operations, tasked with converting one corporate office and eight divisions to a single standardized method of purchasing to deliver cost effective personalization for our homebuyer in support of our corporate goals.- Defined and implemented the Richmond American Homes procure to pay strategy and process- Developed automated monthly management reporting to focus on the continuous improvement of the methodology related to contracting and cost management- Project Manager for the development of a custom built rebate application to use for automated rebate collection from national supplier base to generate $5M annual profit.

- Conducted nationwide purchasing process diagnostic including a complete review of the ‘Design to Bid’ cycle and ‘Base House / Standard Option’ strategy. - Completed holistic view of the existing multiple product line processes and recommended opportunities for long-term savings through streamlined processes and technology implementation.- Served as analytical lead for FY07 cost reduction resulting in over $75M in hard cost reductions

- Lead strategic bid analysis and established negotiations targets for all new communities and cost reduction efforts- Managed four purchasing agents in negotiations process on new community set-up producing average savings over 15%- Designed and executed cost reduction program for Arizona Region encompassing four separate divisions generating over $19 million in hard cost reductions

- Managed all sourcing activities including supplier identification and evaluation metrics, competitive bidding process and negotiation, supplier performance analytics, and hard cost fluctuation analysis- Responsible for new community set-up, developing new product feasibilities, scopes of work, and contract maintenance

- Management of Import Department produced increased efficiencies of 30% in department managing multi-task transportation and customs brokerage of multiple accounts- Created application to serve as global air-freight calculator to role out as nationwide standard
