I work on the modeling team responsible for creating new entities and attributes in the enterprise data warehouse and other systems using both dimensional and 3NF methodology. I use ER Studio to maintain the ERD and meta-data for databases and APIs. I work with information analysts to interpret business requirements and design modeling solutions that conform with the industry standard Teradata financial services data model (FSDM). Currently working on a common data language model (CDL) that utilizes data governance business terms to create a REST API model library for data sharing across the enterprise in a uniform manner while dealing with architectural ambiguity. Responsible for system administration of ER Studio software, installation, upgrades and user provisioning.

I worked on the ETL team responsible for transforming data from the 3rd normal form layer into the dimensional data mart layer of the enterprise data warehouse. I also wrote extracts and feeds from the EDW to operational systems throughout the bank and its affiliates. I coded Business Objects Data Services jobs to execute push down SQL on Greenplum, created job schedules in Control-M, and provided support.

I served as a field artillery cannon section chief on an M109A6 Paladin 155mm howitzer, supervising an 11 man crew in gunnery training and maintenance. I deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2004 to 2005 as a rifle squad leader performing urban combat operations including route reconnaissance, IED route clearance, cordon and search, convoy security, and training and mentoring Iraqi border patrol forces.
