"If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader."- John Quincy AdamsI included the above quote because I believe a true leader is someone who genuinely strives to help those around them succeed. Under my leaders' guidance, I believe I have developed an set of skills that can be beneficial to any workplace.Self-Motivated and Goal-OrientedI do not require much positive reinforcement for doing my job. I derive my motivation from my competitive nature. Let me know what my specific goals or objectives are and I will find a way to make it happen. I believe a lot of my outlook has generated from my position as a Production Recruiter with the Air Guard. I am competing with not only my fellow Air Guard recruiters but, recruiters from every other branch as well.Thriving in a High-Stress EnvironmentMy deployment to Afghanistan in 2012 taught me how to accomplish the mission in a high-stress environment. We were tasked with maintaining A-10 Warthogs at Bagram. Safe to say, working 12 hour days, 7 days a week with rocket attacks on a weekly basis was new to me. Despite the chaos around us, we accomplished the mission and received an Outstanding Unit accommodation upon returning home.Seeking Opportunities to Work with TeamsBy my very own nature, I am an individual who enjoys interacting with others. Therefore, I have always been drawn to a team environment. From high school football, to my military service; there have been few better feelings than working with a group of people to accomplish mutual goals and objectives. As I said above, I believe my unique experiences have allowed me a skill set that can contribute to almost any workplace. I would love the opportunity to network with you and discuss any potential opportunities within your company.
