Providing a safe environment for the hundreds of guest coming in to the ED, PEDS ED, Main, Nelson Clinic, Critical Care Hospital, North, Massey Cancer Center, and gateway hospital. This included, logging parents and friends from seeing Children that are specifically on their list, providing escorts, assisting with crowd control in cases of a code blue, inventorying any patient belongings, and metal detection to those that are a danger to others and themselves, sitting on patients and observing behavior on a Temporary Detainment Order, and assisting with inbound and outbound flights from the helipad. This position also included signing deceased patients over to the funeral home from the morgue as a representative of VCUHS, retrieving and parking vehicles, and being a human GPS all around the campus to make sure all got to needed appointments and to visit family/friends that were staying within.
