In this position (Application Manager) I manage an group of heat transfer/exchanger specialists with the task to provide expertise to the global organization. As Software Development Manager I lead a group of Software Engineers with the responsibility to maintain and develop our software tools.

In this role I manage business opportunities with large potential sales value where SWEP at the time not possess the applicable technology but strive to develop it. The role combines high level business and technology development with internal as well as external stakeholders. The customer are international leading OEMs in US, Europe and Asia.

As a part of our globalization of SWEP and R&D, I re-located to Bangalore as per January 2011. Here I focused on expanding and empowering our team in Bangalore along with globalization of our processes. During my time in Bangalore I have improved my knowledge about Asian work culture as well as international business skills. Since the R&D department is presently located in four sites I am well aware of advantages and challenges of global teams as well as distance leadership.

Here my task was to form and develop a new department based on existing groups aligned to company strategy and goals. The overall objective for R&D as a department is to obtain relevant knowledge by research activities and to develop products and tools for the SWEP organization and SWEP customers. My main task as a R&D manager was to manage and motivate the technical group managers, specialists and other co-workers within the global R&D organization. I have to ensure that our activities and organization are aligned with SWEP strategies, market requirements and company goals.

Application Management was established as link between Marketing & Sales and the Research & Development organization. The main tasks of the function is to provide application support and expertise, arrange training sessions for the sales force, distributers and customers. As newly appointed Application Manager my job was build up the Application Management group and to develop the tasks within the function.

Bernoulli System AB is company specializing in design, assembly and marketing & sales of automatic water filters. At Bernoulli my job was to develop new distribution channels on markets where the products are not sold on regular basis. The result resulted in 6 new distributors in Australia, Singapore, Thailand, France and Italy.
