For 40 years Eric has led Studio Meng Strazzara's design work for most of the Northwest’s leading public institutions, including K-12, universities, transportation, and regional cities and counties. Eric formulated the firm’s consensus design approach that has facilitated several hundred complex design projects in the Northwest. During this time, Eric also developed Meng Analysis, providing value engineering, constructability, facility condition, and performance analysis for major building and infrastructure projects throughout the world. Eric is active as past president of the Seattle Chapter, SAVE (Society of American Value Engineers), past AIA board member, and has served on the State construction advisory panel for over 30 years. His analysis studies have received “outstanding study of the year” awards numerous times, including the recent SAVE award for outstanding VE in government projects. A leader in applying value management to design, Eric frequently presents papers and training seminars throughout the world.
