• Offer trainer of trainers (ToT) workshops to (62) selected Agricultural Extension Officers on Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), and Systems of Rice Intensification (SRI), with a focus on conservation agriculture and climate-smart varieties of rice and maize. • Established and managed (356) Farmer Based Organisations (FBOs) across 20 districts in the Ashanti Region• Trained (10,154) smallholder farmers on Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) and Systems of Rice Intensification on both rice and maize• Trained (2,496) smallholder farmers on Farmer Business School concept.• Lead the training of farmers on improved innovations and technologies on the demonstration plots• Trained farmers using the mass media (radio) on Good Agricultural Practices and Systems of Rice Intensification with much focus on conservation agriculture and climate-smart farming. • Identity micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the maize and rice value chain in the Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) and link Farmer Based Organisations (FBOs) to this micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) for business. • Conduct surveys with targeted enterprises to evaluate and ascertain areas of business operations and deliver tailored need-based training to (MSMEs) and provide coaching services to enterprises during training. • Train seed producers (maize) to produce good quality seeds in the Ashanti region • Introduce and train rice millers and women groups on rice parboiling techniques to create employment opportunities for women and the youth. • Train Farmer Based Organisations (FBOs) and establish Village Savings and Loans Association (VSLAs) for the (FBOs) • Form service gangs, e.g., spraying and harvesting gangs, to create job opportunities for the youth and women in various rural communities. • Plan, organize, and coordinate meetings, stakeholders', workshops, field visits by GIZ team leaders and consultants

• Provided technical advice to the team of the Green Innovation Centre on rice and maize value chain; conduct desktop analysis on rice and varietal suitability to specific agro-ecological zones• Aid in the collection and analysis of data for decision-making; cleaning of data and train farmers on rice production protocols; assist with training farmers on the use of manual rice transplanters.
