As Senior Director of Data and Weather Technology, I am responsible for overseeing many aspects of the data lifecycle, from collection to curation, with a focus on three key areas: Alerting, Marketplaces, and Data Automation.Alerts - I serve as the principal architect for our alerts processing system. I have more than 10 years direct experience working with alert formats and technologies. I work closely with different government agencies, both domestic and international, to ensure seamless integration into our industry leading alerts processing system. Working closely with my colleagues in the public sector, we are working to standardize the way alert information disseminated in an open platform.Marketplaces - Marketplaces are an exciting way for customers to gain access to large datasets with a few clicks. Levering my background in both Meteorology and Technology, I work to help potential customers uncover how leveraging the weather can drive them to knew insights, often resulting significant impacts to their business.Data Automation - Data collection is a driving force for all new innovation. I work closely with my team of dedicated engineers to identify new ways to leverage modern technologies to collect more data, quickly, in a cost effective manner; leading the charge around "one lake" to serve as the central point for all data collection and storage.
