I am one of the founders and a principal of dJoule (pronounced "jewel"), a North American district energy development and advisory company. We create self-sustaining thermal energy utilities that integrate waste heat, renewable energy, and the electric grid. Our experienced team is focused on de-carbonization with scale in the the nexus of district energy, construction, and real estate. It was my privilege to serve as an engineering and management consultant for a terrific company helping clients in the U.S. and abroad advance the design, development, troubleshooting, optimization, finance and growth of district energy networks. My efforts helped deliver district scale thermal energy generation, thermal storage, waste heat recovery, and renewable energy with connected customers and addressed many very challenging performance issues. We led the due diligence for equity purchase, sale, and debt finance of numerous district energy utility assets.

I'm proud to have led an exceptional company team and international sales network in the development, application, and growth of a pioneering new control technology to address endemic issues in the district energy and building sector. My work with our team resulted in over five times domestic and international revenue growth and the creation of a new standard approach for the industry.

I honed and flexed my entrepreneurial passion and skill leading the development of company structure, financing, prototype and intellectual property in the creation of new technology for the energy sector leading to a patent in 2006 among other barriers to entry needed to grow a viable business. Our team successfully raised capital to advance development until 9/11 forced us to pivot.

Following a stint with the U.S. Navy, I kicked off my engineering career with the Boeing 777 program managing the development, testing, integration, and certification of new mechanical systems equipment currently installed and operating on commercial aircraft. I'm proud to have developed robust mechanical hardware that is still in use in the Boeing fleet.
