When a new piece of software is requested, I work with our security team and the central IT group to assess the software, any alternatives to the software, observe any shortcomings or vulnerabilities, and finally outline an agreement between the vendor and the state. In addition, I led trainings for staff on the technological software and hardware systems staff use in their roles that maintain hospital functioning. I oversaw the badge reading security service that is located throughout the building. As coordinator of this security service, I collaborated with a software engineer at Avigilon to design an interface that would perform best for the facility. As the Head of Instructional Media I spend most of my time working with incoming clients to establish a standard for their AV needs, assigning a space for an event, deciding on the necessary technology for an event, investigating and acquiring new technologies for the college, assigning a tech to run the event, training new employees on AV equipment and setups, and set-ting up and supporting AV events including keynote speakers, movie nights, and presentations.

Using programs like Visual Studios, SQL Server, Ranorex, Microsoft Office and XML Editor. Day to day I'm given bugs or features to test or look over and find a solution or a unique method of testing it before allowing it to get out to production and the general public. It's a job that encourages me to learn more at any opportunity and to approach problems in completely different ways.
