Profile bio

About Eric Neilsen

How could I not enjoy jumping out of planes, diving, and working with organizations and people I read about growing up. I found my 20-year-old self’s dream job as an Air Force Combat Controller and trained and deployed with some of the best American, ally and partner nation special operations teams. I had the honor to serve our nation and with so many for nearly 30 years. After I retired from the Air Force, I was lucky enough to have friends and mentors that helped me find a great cultural fit. As a specialist within Human Resources Transformation at Deloitte, I am helping large organizations transform and develop the talent management strategy, education and training, and governance to be successful. I have been provided the opportunity to help Deloitte and organizations we work with tackle difficult problems that I am passionate about such as Resilience. Retirement from the Air Force has allowed me the greatest privilege of all. I get to work with an amazing team and family at Project OVAT. It is hard to imagine finding a more passionate group of people from all walks of life and partner organizations so passionate about helping veterans that have given so much of themselves to serve the nation.
