Perform group CFO responsibilities (encompassing accounting, taxation, treasury management, and compliance).SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS – FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE- Partnered with CEO to grow revenue to SGD2B (33% CAGR) and adjusted EBITDA to SGD402M (16% CAGR) from 2018 to 2022.- Fully acquired Australian chemical production and distribution business Ixom with smooth integration within KIT that grew Ixom’s EBITDA at over 10% CAGR (FY2019 to FY2022).- Invested in operating onshore wind assets in Scandinavia and Germany that increased KIT's investment into renewables by 10%. - Enabled KIT to expand its presence in South Korea by acquiring 52% majority stake of leading waste management company EMK Holdings.SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS – CAPITAL MARKETS & INVESTOR RELATIONS- Completed SGD505M equity fund raising via SGX (2019) and another SGD300M (2023) to support investments – strong testament to KIT’s rigorous identification of opportunities and due diligence process.- Established SGD2B debt issuance program and issued SGD1.05B of debt market securities via a series of perpetual securities and medium-term notes to fund acquisitions (2019 to 2022).- Grew KIT’s market capitalization since 2018 of about SGD1.9B to over SGD2.7B in 2022, with steady growth in KIT’s unit price and cash distributions.

Seconded to KIT to support its CFO on M&A transactions, corporate treasury management, SGX reporting, group accounting, taxation, and compliance.

Hyflux was a pioneer in providing fully-integrated water solutions. Partnered with Hyflux’s Engineering, Procurement, and Construction team to build and operate Singapore’s largest desalination plant Tuaspring Integrated Water and Power Plant.Managed end-to-end finance operations of Singspring, Singapore’s first desalination plant built by Hyflux in 2005.

Partnered with CEO to devise and execute business strategy (including business development and establishment of country offices) with overall responsibility for financial and risk management for entire group.Instituted sound financial operations, controls, and management reporting protocols for all subsidiaries and completed inaugural financial statements for group.Established legal entities and offices to drive business development and operations in Singapore, China, and Philippines.

Reported to Group CFO, supervised team of 7 in managing middle and back-office treasury operations and treasury risk management of SP Group, including subsidiaries SP PowerGrid, PowerGas, SP Services, SP Holdco, and Australian subsidiaries.Enforced internal controls, reported on group’s treasury transactions, optimized cash flow, ensured prompt interest servicing, and managed accounting for SGD6B debt and SGD13B derivatives portfolio.Upgraded SGD million-dollar treasury system SunGard Quantum (2012) that successfully replaced legacy systems and harmonized group-wide treasury operations – resulting in increased efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of treasury operations, risk management, and reporting.

Reported to Group CFO, monitored financial valuation, and executed controls of overseas subsidiaries – particularly acquisitions in Australia.Prepared valuations and strategic analyses for Board of Directors, led and collaborated in strategic finance projects, and engaged senior management in formulation of annual budgets.

Supervised 10-person accounting team for largest Singapore subsidiary of SP Group, SP Power Assets (SPPA) – including general ledger control, cash and debt management, accounts payable, budgeting, and management reporting.Supported Corporate Treasury in issuance, hedging, and refinancing of bridge loans and medium-term notes under SP Group’s and SPPA’s SGD12B medium term note (MTN) programme.

Executed over USD700M of M&A opportunities for regional power plant projects.Developed and updated project financial models, performed financial valuation to determine internal rate of return (IRR) and profitability, prepared board updates for all M&A activities, and managed cost budget for division.Divested over USD700M of non-core plant investments in Korea, Taiwan, and China, which enabled SP Group to focus on power transmission and distribution.

Seconded to AUD8B newly acquired Australia subsidiary to lead team of 4 in Melbourne and 5 in Sydney, supervise financial reporting and its consolidation for SP Group, and provide ongoing performance monitoring.Steered accounting and reporting outcomes for entity (that was carved-out from a large Australian conglomerate) and produced inaugural group consolidated financials for reporting into SP Group’s financial statements within 2 months of acquisition.

Supervised audit engagements and worked on special engagements for mainly multi-national corporations (MNCs) in energy, utilities, healthcare, natural resources, investments, and manufacturing industries.Devised conclusions from analyses of clients’ financial positions, and highlight issues from reviewing internal controls, financial reports, and tax positions. Seconded to KPMG’s Tax department for 6 months’ corporate tax training.
