Personally responsible for the preparation of the statement of accounts for the Hospice and its trading subsidiary as well as taking responsibility.

Interim role, initially for 6 months completing the 2013/14 budget and leading the final accounts process for this hospice serving a large area of West Sussex and East Surrey. Really enjoying my work with a committed and friendly team and have now signed on board up to the end of the calendar year. So on to the business planning and 14/15 budget process!

Variety of projects including reviews of final accounts and inter authority recharging methods as well as input into project appraisals and bid evaluations

Lewes

Assisting the Head of Corporate Finance in closing the 11/12 accounts, working on CIES, PFI, IAS19, segmental reporting and exit packages notes amongst others. Successfuly contributed to production of Statement of Accounts and achieving an unqualified audit opinion.

Hammersmith Town Hall

Led the team responding to the final accounts audit. Needed to rework the draft accounts, particularly the finance and operating lease figures under IFRS. Now achieved unqualified sign off for accounts a week before end of September!

Financial advisor to Cabinet and Corporate Management Team, led the accounting, exchequer, central admin and GIS teams. Hands on leadership of the final accounts preparation process (2 years)

Responsible for all things financial at the Hospice including budgets, statement of accounts, monthly management accounts and banking and investments. Also responsible for directing the work of ICT and facilities management. Member of the Senior Management Team and full participant in strategic decision making
