Responsible for RTL design and development of FPGA devices as senior team member for company's advanced plasma group. FPGA design role includes use of Matlab, Simulink and HDL coder, RTL design using VHDL and Verilog, simulation using Questasim and System Verilog. Chief digital architect and FPGA designer of a 64-channel, closed-loop neuro-stimulator (brain) implant product. Product design comprises three low power FPGA devices, supports high-speed, two-way inductive communications (NFC) and arithmetic hardware accelerator including FFT. Developed all RTL code for all three FPGA devices, developed all test benches for design verification, developed test firmware in C for ARM processor and produced FPGA test vector and LUT file generator(s) in VC++. Developed and published all API documentation using Word and Visio.

Chief architect for radical new hardware solutions for systolic matrix multiplication using non-binary computation. Invented and patented many new types of hardware structures and solutions for RNS number hardware, including error correcting arithmetic. Demonstrated working FPGA based hardware solutions for systolic matrix multiply and error correcting arithmetic at SC19 and SC22.

In 1999, I founded Spectronix, a company dedicated to the design, manufacture, and distribution of advanced gaming products. Starting with a $150,000 loan, I built Spectronix into a multi-million-dollar corporation, supplying progressive jackpot and bonus system products to both OEM gaming manufacturers and casino customers. Our OEM clientele includes industry giants such as IGT, Bally, WMS, GTECH, Scientific Games, VGT, Spielo, and more. We also directly serve prestigious casino customers like Stations Casinos, Stratosphere, Harrah's Entertainment, Golden Entertainment, and various tribal and international casinos.My technical contributions at Spectronix are extensive. I have designed dozens of gaming products and managed the design and deployment of an advanced server-based progressive jackpot system featuring an SQL database and distributed network topology. Additionally, I designed the hardware for most of the company's proprietary products and developed software for several of them.During the challenging times of the 2008 gaming market collapse, I led a strategic overhaul of Spectronix. I systematically rebuilt the company's product line and restructured its corporate vision by focusing on innovative IP and patented products. These patented products, which are currently deployed in casinos, represent state-of-the-art proprietary bonus links and generate recurring revenue cash flows.

As a Senior Engineering Executive at Mikohn, I was entrusted with pivotal responsibilities, including spearheading new product development and deployment, managing engineering personnel, and ensuring the achievement of executive management goals and corporate objectives. My leadership was crucial in guiding product development during Mikohn's successful IPO, a period that saw the company ranked 50th on Forbes' list of the 100 fastest-growing high-tech companies in the US. Under my stewardship, Mikohn launched several advanced gaming products, such as the CasinoLink slot data system, the innovative SafeJack and Caribbean Stud table game systems, and the highly successful SuperLink progressive jackpot and bonus system. I also invented significant products like MoneyTime, an exciting link bonus system that became the company's first recurring revenue product. Additionally, I played a key role as an expert witness in critical patent infringement cases, helping Mikohn secure its highly contested intellectual property. During my tenure, the company's gross revenue surged from $5 million to over $100 million per year.

Central Station was a medical company start-up specializing in the networking of real-time patient vitals, including EKG waveform, pulse oximeter and blood pressure data. Eric designed both hardware and software and was instrumental in getting the product released. The Node was installed in Shepherd Eye Clinic in Las Vegas as well as Jones Eye Clinic in Sioux City, Iowa.

Developed video game software for advanced video gaming platform. Team member for development of first cashless wagering slot machine deployed at MGM Grand Hotel. Eric was instrumental in the development of two-way serial progressive interfaces, and was engaged in programming, test and release of new and novel game concepts.

Responsible for generating and modifying firmware code for the company’s slot data systems. Eric was active in hardware design, BOM development and material and part specifications for procurement by the purchasing department. EDT was the first major manufacturer of slot data systems and sold over 100 slot data systems before being acquired by IGT.

At Mikohn, Eric was responsible for the design and development of many of the company's new hardware products. Eric was instrumental in many successful product developments, including the Cham-2 and Supreme series LED display systems and the advanced SuperController progressive jackpot system.
