Lead Mechanical Design Engineer
Eric was the Lead design engineer for the Leap-1B turbine center frame flowpath system during the NPI design cycle. Designed and analyzed turbine engine flowpath system hardware which accounted for over 30 components. In the course of a year, he took a design that was at concept through preliminary and detailed design reviews, brought the hardware into production and through the first engine to test on the Leap-1b engine program. This work included a patent submission that is currently under review for wear tolerant sliding structural joints. During this time he completed the MRB certification for turbine airfoils and structures hardware. This role involved supervising a team of 4 analysts and 2 modelers, and 3 drawing detailers.
