Supervised, led, and managed the strategic outreach for the Commanding General of Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC); an organization consisting of 53,000 people (located in 35 different Army bases) and responsible for training over 450,000 Soldiers annually. • Coordinated with multiple agencies to revitalize the strategic communication outreach process for the command; resulted in five articles published on Army initiatives. • Responsible for coordinating and planning multiple trips for the Commanding General that served as a venue for him to meet with key leaders, address hundreds of soldiers, and communicate the Army’s message. Trips included: Harvard/MIT; Senegal, Africa; UNC-Chapel Hill; and Fort Lewis, WA. • In closed-door strategy sessions, briefed the Commanding General on recommendations for the future of the Army; including improving innovation and recruiting techniques in the Army.

Leader of an organization of over 800 men and women; responsible for equipping, training, discipline, leader development and morale of the soldiers and their families while preparing the unit for combat.• Rated as the best battalion commander by the Commanding General of Regional Command-South in Afghanistan.• Deployed the battalion to a remote and dangerous area of Afghanistan for nine months where the unit distinguished itself as the best battalion in Southern Afghanistan. Battalion trained and fought valiantly side-by-side with their Afghan partners during multiple large-scale operations against the Taliban. Dramatically improved the Afghan Army professionalism by helping them institute an Operational Readiness Cycle and open an Artillery Center of Excellence for all of southern Afghanistan.• Conducted the first-ever training exercise at Fort Knox, KY incorporating virtual gaming and constructive simulation with high-risk live fire training to simulate the rigors of combat at home station. General Officer in charge of Army training praised the event for its innovation in preparing soldiers for combat while saving the Army money. • Effectively communicated through a variety of means with Afghan partners, spouses and families, and the American public resulting in extremely close relationships with Afghan counterparts; unified spouses and families; and multiple radio, TV, and print publications about the unit.

Worked on a hand-selected strategy team to advise the General Officer in charge of Army Human Resources Command on leader development and talent management in the Army. • Contributed to initiatives designed to broaden and vary the experience of officers to build better strategic leaders.• Published an article on the importance of racial diversity to the Army and our nation.

Responsible for the training management for the 31,000 soldiers and airmen at Joint Base Lewis-McChord assisting with prioritization of training areas, ranges, ammunition, and facilities.• Rated the best of 24 Lieutenant Colonels by the Corps Operations Officer • Prioritized resources and synchronized schedules allowing 11 Army brigades (20,000 soldiers) to maximize their training efforts in preparing their units for deployment to combat. • Selected by senior leadership to brief every unit on Fort Lewis on training management systems that had atrophied after a decade of constant conflict.

Led a 150-person staff to facilitate current and future operations for 4,500-person Army Brigade.• Planned, resourced and executed the largest Brigade Training Exercise in the history of Fort Lewis, WA. Simultaneously organized and controlled 4,500 soldiers in four separate locations between California and Washington conducting training in the live, virtual, and simulated environments. • Planned, resourced and executed the deployment and redeployment of 4,500 soldiers and $700,000,000 worth of equipment from Fort Lewis, WA to Baqubah, Iraq by air and sea.• Coordinated efforts of brigade staff and multiple organizations to meet the vision set by the brigade commander, coordinated this vision with Iraqi Army leaders to ensure a united and synchronized effort against Al Qaeda in Iraq.
