Maintaining contacts with pertinent regulatory agencies and providing guidance on regulatory matters. Assist the facility manager in organizing and conducting Safe Operations committee meetings. Maintaining incident and injury statistics and safety trends. Providing pertinent safety information to the organization such as incident reports, hazard information, off-job safety, etc. Auditing operations for safety system impact (i.e. training, pre-shift meetings, inspections, rules, procedures, emergency response, etc.) Providing guidance on the facility safety policy and Safe Operation plan and activities. Analyzing safety trends and proactively provide recommendations for improvement, focusing on how associates are approaching and doing work. Training new associates in safety knowledge, safety systems and expectations in order for new associates to achieve “zero harm”. Assist in monitoring and managing injured associates to assure proper care and timely return to work
