I am currently a graduate student at James Madison University pursuing a Master of Education degree in Special Education-adapted curriculum. I am seeking a fulfilling and challenging career as a special education teacher in a collaborative school that will allow me to grow professionally while utilizing my strengths as an educator and leader. Upon the completion of my degree at James Madison University, I will obtain licensure in the state of Virginia. I have a passion for teaching and a strong desire to positively impact the lives of students.   During my time as an Aquatics Supervisor at Massanutten Resort, I have experienced many challenges that have allowed me to grow professionally and personally. I received my American Red Cross Instructor's certificate in 2015 which has allowed me to lead daily trainings with as many as 40 staff members at one time and teach a plethora of American Red Cross courses. As an Aquatics Supervisor, I had to respond to many serious scenarios involving injured persons that required EMS personnel. I have had to solve problems daily and develop personal and professional flexibility. I have learned the value of developing professional relationships and upholding professionalism during stressful situations. I have enjoyed my time as an Aquatics Supervisor and am thankful for the experiences and opportunities that have been bestowed on me.
