Eric Paltell has practiced law since 1987, concentrating in the representation of public and private sector employers in all aspects of labor and employment law. Mr. Paltell is based in the Firm's Tysons Corner, Virginia office, but represents employers throughout Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. Mr. Paltell's practice includes collective bargaining, NLRB litigation, employment discrimination and sexual harassment suits, ADA and FMLA litigation, wrongful discharge suits, wage and hour cases, ERISA litigation, and grievance arbitrations. Additionally, a significant part of Mr. Paltell's practice involves management training and counseling. In 2014, Mr. Paltell became a Fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, an honor reserved for the nation's leading practitioners in the field of labor and employment law.In addition to his law practice, Eric been mediating employment disputes since 1997 and is recognized as one of the leading mediators in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.. Eric began his mediation career nearly 30 years ago as a pro bono mediator with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Baltimore, where he helped establish one of the Agency’s first voluntary mediation programs. In addition to his experience with the EEOC, Eric has served as a mediator with a number of Maryland Circuit Courts and is certified to mediate in Virginia by the Supreme Court of Virginia. Eric has also been a member of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution’s Panel of Distinguished Neutrals.Eric is available to mediate cases in person or via Zoom.
