CurrentProvided leadership in areas of content production, website and social media management, communications and media strategy, and internal and external communications, including emergency management. Served as the liaison for all executive-level communications for the superintendent and associate superintendents, including speech writing, quote preparation, media interactions, and presentation creation. Supervised more than 10 staff members on various projects, working collaboratively to manage nearly two dozen social media accounts and seven websites, and provide training in areas of educational leadership. As part of overseeing the district's websites, conceptualized a comprehensive plan for the development and implementation of a website redesign, including driving traffic and content as well as focusing on ADA compliance, ease of access, and functionality. Developed strategic communications plans and talking points for major events/incidents. Planned and hosted events, including a groundbreaking event for a new high school, Workforce Leadership Alliance events, and produced and filmed hundreds of videos, including an exclusive release of a new high school mascot, designed invitations, flyers and promotional items using Adobe software, and worked closely throughout each school year with stakeholders in the business realm of the community as well as students, teachers, administrators, law enforcement and the military. Also served as a volunteer varsity basketball coach for one of the district's schools.
