In 2012, I was Project Manager for the multi-million dollar purchase of The Studio at Las Colinas. The 72,000 sq. ft. production facility was the site of numerous movies including Robocop, Talk Radio, Leap of Faith, Silkwood Problem Child & Oliver Stone’s JFK. It was also the home of popular network television programs such as Prison Break, Walker Texas Ranger & Barney (yes, the purple singing dinosaur). Renamed Mercury Studios after the purchase, it is now the flagship location of Glenn Beck’s media company Mercury Radio Arts.
