Since 1998 I have worked in the field of Web analytics (traffic analysis), first as a Senior Webmaster for WebTrends Corporation (acquired by NetIQ), then as a Web Operations Manager for WebCriteria (acquired by Coremetrics) and most recently at WebSideStory as the Director of Professional Services. At WebSideStory I managed a team of analysts and advise some of the world's most prominent brands (Disney, LEGO, Harley Davidson, Sony, FedEx, America Online) on the relationship between their Web sites and their visitors. Most recently I was Vice President of Strategic Services at the Visual Sciences division of WebSideStory and just prior I was the Site Operations and Technology Analyst for Jupiter Research (www.jupiterresearch.com).For the past seven years I have run my own global strategic consulting group, Web Analytics Demystified, Inc. Our focus is on helping companies who are well invested in measurement technology actually put those technologies to work for the business.I have published three books on the subject: Web Analytics Demystified, Web Site Measurement Hacks (with O'Reilly & Associates) and The Big Book of Key Performance Indicators.
