Mombasa Port Development Project Phase II

Project : Kumkang Kind – Nhon Trach factory branchItem : Building Factory – Aluminum form productAddress : Nhon Trach 1 IZ, Nhon Trach, Dong Nai province, VietnamTotal land area of the factory is 90,751m2 with three main divisions: factory(26,241m2), support (14,238m2), and yard (10,150m2). The whole factory is made ofprefabricated steel structure and roof EPS panel. The estimated completion time is July31 (8 months in construction). Total construction cost is around 10 million USD.Main Task And Responsibilities:- Scheduling construction items based on scope of work items: Weekly, Biweekly,Monthly, and General Schedule.- Organization and recruitment of engineers to run the project smoothly: Qualitycontrol engineer, Quantity surveyor, Site Engineer, Surveyor, M&E engineer,Accountant, Safety officer…- Create schedules for construction crew and ensure all projects are fully staffed- Ensure safety guidelines are followed on all job sites- Maintain constant communication with clients- Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory- Meet contractual conditions of performance- Review the work progress on daily basis- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and license- Analyze, manage and mitigate risks- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques- Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, andclients, representing the owner or developer.- Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractualagreements with subcontractors.- Prepare documents for advance, interim and settlement payments under the contract.

This project uses ODA loan No CP-P10 (JICA soft loan) with the total cost of 74.2 million US$ for building: Multipurpose Terminal with 330m in length & -13.5m in depth for bulk and general cargoes; Terminal for Logistic Base Oil Exploration (Oil Supply Berth) with 200m in length & -7.5m in depth.

This project is to improve the traffic condition and the local economics (Hanoi) encompassing three packages. In which, package 02 is 1 km in length including 500 m of bridge and 400 m of branch roads. There are 204 bored piles (diameter of 1.5 m), 120 m box-girder (constructed by scaffolding support system) and 3 spans of continuous box girder of lengths 80 m + 120 m + 80 m (constructed by free cantilever balanced method). The width of cross section is 33.2 m. Total capital was around 62.4 million US$. And the package 2 was undertaken for 3.5 years: for the first two year (from 05/2011 to 08/2013), the project be completed by 80%; until 01/2015, due to land acquisition constraints, the rest of the project be fulfilled.
