Solumet Metal and Powder Inc. is involved in the recycling of Nickel, Chrome, Iron, and Molybdenum units for the stainless steel industry. The company processes an arrangement of materials too difficult for stainless steel smelters to handle directly. These materials include: filter cakes, hydroxides, grindings, swarfs, sludges, scales, plasma spray, fines and powders. Solumet takes these materials and processes it through a reduction furnace to remove any residual moisture and oxygen. The product is known as stainless steel Sinter cake and is a great additive for stainless steel scrap yards.
