Senior Contract Admnistrator for the Vale Clean Atmospheric Emissions Reductions (AER) Project. The $1-billion project will see sulfur dioxide emissions at Vale's smelter in Sudbury reduce by 70% from current levels by 2015.Working closely with SNC Lavalin (EPCM Contractor) and representing Vale's Owner's team as a Senior Contract Administrator Tasks include but are not limited to;Review of proposals and contracts for construction, service and procurement packagesInvoice reviewReview of field work instructionsManaging growth allowance, Purchase order creation,Attending and participating in weekly construction meetings, Site visits, Pre-award meetings, Negotiation of terms and conditions, Contract terminations, Creation of consulting and engineering contracts.Have also had the opportunity to be involved in contract negotiations for multi million dollar contracts.

Capital Equipment Buyer - Involved in issuing tenders (RFP's and RFQ's), reviewing proposals, negotiating Terms and Conditions.Involved in creating a new process for sending out equipment for repairs.Day to day purchasing of electrical equipment, instrumentation equipment, office supplies and various other type of material required for Vale's surface plants and mine sites. Setup up Contract Purchase Agreements in order to reduce transactional duties and increase purchasing efficiencies by negotiating long term contract pricing.
