I discuss individual/personal health insurance plans offered by Oxford Health Plans with residents of NY and NJ and help them find the best option. The discussions range in topics such as eligibility, plan designs and rates, basic insurance terminology, state and federal laws regarding plans, and even walking them through the entire application process. I also help existing members with an Oxford individual plan find an alternative that meets their changing needs due to affordability or increased need for additional benefits. We also work alongside our group sales representatives and screen employers who are interested in offering health insurance through their business to their employees.

I work on the Platinum Broker team to assist our most valuable brokers with all service requests for employers who have their insurance with Oxford. This includes employee and employer level enrollement issues, assistance with resolving claims inquiries and problem resolution, employer contract renewal guidance including plan design changes, retro activity exception approval, benefits questions, and much more.

Processed orders for a company whose main product is computer aided design or CAD drafting software. Clients included Disney and the US Military among many others. Only person on East coast who was trained to ensure that purchase orders, approvals, etc were matched up with their respective orders. Completed training on ISO 9001 requirements and helped the company pass a recent audit which resulted in the retention of the ISO rating. Frequently sought after by the Escalations team to help manage special projects including orders that were the result of systems issues as well as challenging credit and debit orders which were often avoided by other reps.

Responsible for tracking and sending up to 20 techs on service calls including emergencies. Ensured accuracy of work orders so that the most qualified tech was sent on calls. Delivered exceptional customer service on the phones both during and after hours.

Completed rigorous training for Levels 1 & 2 Firefighting Certification. Served on fund raising committee to purchase needed equipment for the department. Assisted in establishing an EMS Explorer post. Responded to all types of emergecny calls at all hours of the day.

Utilized directive communication skills to ensure public safety and enforce policy. Supervised up to 6 officers per shift providing solid leadership and direction in addition to taking charge of emergency situations. Coordinated licensure of EMT’s, NH State reporting requirements, and supply/equipment maintenance.
