Architecture and support of VMware Cloud Foundation 5.X platform. NSX T 4.X and beyond. Project included a large migration of VMs from VCF3 to VCF4 and the migration of over 1000+ DFW rules using the RestNSX Migration Assistance Tool. And then an inplace upgrade of VCF4.5 to VCF5.1 This is a large enterprise environment with over 5,000 VMs and 160 hosts. Day to Day support of our VCF environment, which includes VMware infrastructure and virtual machine administration. All patching and architecture decisions.

Team Lead for a group of highly talented VMware administrators. Besides that role, I am the primary support for our VMware VCF installation. I handle all infrastructure tasks within our large production VMware VCF environment. I also work on the NSX Distributed Firewall team. I write a lot of PowerNSX PowerShell code to automate the building of NSX FW Rules.

Team Lead for Virtual Systems Infrastructure. Re-Architected, rebuilt and now support the DEED vSphere 6.0 / 5.X server environments. Consolidated 5 vCenter's into one enterprise vCenter 6 Appliance. Planned and excluded multiple virtual machine migrations. Redesigned all of the virtual networking and moved the DEED environment from Cisco 1000v virtual switches to VMWare distributed switches. I handle all vSphere patching and upgrades. DEED is a large dynamic environment running the Minnesota unemployment insurance application which is a tier 1 application for both DEED and the citizens of the State of Minnesota.I also work closely with other agencies virtualization teams to make sure that my VMWare team here at DEED is inline or leading the virtualization charge within the State of Minnesota IT organization.

Architected, built and supported the Aspen Valley Hospital vSphere 5.5 Environment and the VMware View 6.0 environment. Imprivata is used as the single sign on agent within the user environment. I designed and implemented all of the vLAN and networking infrastructure around this deployment. I handled all of the administration for the EMC VNX 5400, including LUN creation and all storage group administration. I also handle all of the Brocade fiber fabrics attached to the VNX and the IBM Pureflex internal fiber switches. I administer all zoning, for the Brocades in the environment.I handled all administration for VMware, from vSphere patching to day to day troubleshooting within the environment. I also administer our Veeam server for virtual machine backup.I handled all break fix for the SAN and the compute node platforms and was instrumental with setting up and making sure the hospital used the call-home features of the equipment that we own. I utilized Solarwinds and VMware operations manager to monitor the environment at all times.

Architected, built and now support the DHS vSphere 5.X Environment. I am the head virtual admninistrator for our production environment which consists of 142 vSphere hosts. We are currently running 900+ server virtual machines, both Windows and various Linux operating systems. Team Lead of group of 8 people on the Enterprise Virtualization team for the Department of Human Services at the State of Minnesota. This team has a wide range of abilities and personalities. I work hard to make sure that my team has an open channel to me and that they feel like I am very approachable. I want to make sure that we as a team work together to make the VMware environment here at the state a top notch environment to provide our customers with highly available servers and desktops
