Focused on leading a team of 7 Department Managers in opening a new allocation warehouse for shipping and receiving all product on the east coast. During the time from 2012-2013 the company had rolled out a new Store Manager program that allowed for talented Store Managers to run two separate stores while still working 45 hours a week. During this time I had two stores; one in Bristol, PA and my second store in Philadelphia. One of which was consistently ranked in the top 3% of the company. This roll out was my next step from Store Manager to Area Manager. Working closely with the District Manager to secure a small set of stores close to me in his absence was a part of my development towards Area Manager. Both of my SM2 stores ran highly effective in regards to inventory control, daily routines and performance. In order for two stores to perform in my absence I had to secure a solid team of which I needed to have two very strong, well trained and motivated Assistant Store Managers. Their development and procurement was pertinent to maintaining the performance levels of both stores.

Starting my retail and sales career as a seasonal, part-time sales associate, I quickly worked towards key holder, assistant manager which lead to store manager in 2008. I was responsible for training and developing a team of 6-10 sales associates, 2 key holders and an assistant store manager. Job duties included merchandising, visual and housekeeping maintenance, training, recruiting, on boarding as well as sales, comp. goals, scheduling, store transfers, inventory control, loss prevention and team leadership. During my time at Hot Topic I was in charge of launching one of the first local Hot Topic Facebook pages for the Philadelphia area that included the entire district as well as neighboring stores. After a couple months it became standard for each store to start and maintain their own stores local pages. As a part of the music community I was in charge of rolling out Local Static shows in the stores. As a team we would recruit bands, book shows, promote the shows for the store and see the entire process through to the end.
