CFONow provides consulting services on an interim, part-time or project basis to early stage and established companies. Services include accounting system implementations & clean-ups, fundraising materials for lenders & investors, and general financial management across the accounting, tax, audit, financial reporting, HR, technology, legal and real estate functions.

Hired to oversee the firm’s financial operations including fund accounting, business planning and SEC compliance for co-mingled and separately managed accounts investing in global equities, financial & commodity futures, exchange traded & OTC derivatives, and spot currencies. Manage the firm’s ongoing relationship with KPMG, its outside auditor and tax advisor, to ensure accurate and timely completion of five audits and six tax returns annually used for financial reporting to investors and government agencies. Work closely with the Fund’s administrator to ensure all investment activities and results are accurately captured and reported. Supervise the firm’s compliance program including development and enforcement of policies & procedures, and regulatory filing requirements with FINRA and the SEC. Manage the human resource function, technology platform, insurance, soft dollar programs, legal matters and annual budgeting process.

Hired to professionalize the firm’s back-office operations including performance reporting and fund accounting for portfolio in excess of $200 million. Managed annual audit and tax preparation to provide accurate and timely reporting to investors. Monitored daily operations including trading platforms, risk systems, technology and SEC compliance for products including global equities, ETF’s and exchange traded options. Coordinated legal matters with outside counsel and maintained investor documentation for on- and off-shore investment vehicles. Managed the marketing function including development of collateral materials, lead generation and investor presentations.
