While Eric often shepherds Register nominations through the entire process, including preparation of the formal nomination and presentation of the nomination to the State Board of Review, he also has assisted other individuals as an advisory consultant on nominations they wish to complete independently. In addition to this work, Eric has written a book-length commissioned history on Erdenheim Farm in Whitemarsh Township, PA (published by the University of South Carolina in 2012, reprinted by USC Press, 2015); authored an administrative history of a National Park Service unit in Georgia; conducted intensive historical and archival research on a variety of topics on a contract basis; exhibited frequently as a working art photographer; and co-managed a film criticism blog known as TheSplitScreen.
