Provided Tier 3 support for Department of Homeland Security Office of BioMetric Information Management. Duties included configuration and management of Windows 2012 Servers on Dell R380 systems, and associated applications. Perform daily system checks to ensure availibility of all supported services. Complete daily log showing status of all systems checked. Manage virtual machines in VMware and apply monthly system updates. Manage server backup jobs and the associated backup tape library, rotating backup tapes to the secure facility in Mount Weather, VA monthly. Log completed tasks and report weekly to management on task completion, hardware status, and report on issues or concerns related to the area of support. Manage support calls for hardware an software failures. Process escalated tickets from Tier 2 Support including assigning rights for directory access as requested by clients. Provide assistance to Tier 2 on technical issue related to remote connectivity through VPN and the use of WPAAS (Windows Platform As A Service).
