I have been in the construction industry since 1995. Through out those years I have held many positions that have allowed me to gain a great deal of experience in this field from site coordinator, finishing foremen, framing foremen, foundation foremen, site superintendent, quality assurance division manager to Construction Project Manager. I have an enhanced knowledge from start to finish of residential/mid-rise build Projects. The value I bring as a project manager is knowing and understanding the importance of proper planning and organizing prior to starting any project. I have an expanded knowledge of all stages construction. The most important part that I have learned is knowing who your customer(s) are and what their expectations are. I am customer first orientated and thrive on making sure to offer the best service possible. I have learnt how to properly deal with conflict and more importantly dealing with them and learning from these experiences. I have also learned the importance of obtaining all relevant facts with my analytic approach to all projects I am assigned too to be able to generate and maintain a proper budget, schedule and ensure a quality build. I am also glad to have been part of the management team involved in the multi-million dollar renovation project know as the “LIV” Bell street Building. It was truly a "rags to riches" experience. Taking this old run down property and turning into a phenomenal place to live in the heart of Ottawa has been an experience like no other.I also understand the significant differences between a manager and a leader. To treat people like team members and not employees. To value everyone's opinion and suggestions. To motivate and encourage. To lead by example and to engage, recognize my teams efforts and accomplishments.
