About Eric Scott
I'm a chemical ecologist, statistician, data scientist, and R package developer with a passion for teaching science, statistics, and practices for reproducible research. In my PhD I collaborated with analytical chemists, economists, and anthropologists to understand the impacts of climate change on tea quality. In my postdoc I'm collaborating with ecologists, conservation biologists, and climate scientists to model and project the impacts of climate change and habitat fragmentation on population dynamics of rainforest plants. I have experience teaching and developing curriculum as instructor of record at a variety of institutions. I'm the author and maintainer of the R packages bumbl and holodeck, and my extensive contributions to the development of the webchem package were funded by an R Consortium grant.
