Hello! I’m Eric Rasch, the Operations Manager for the Silver Spring Civic Building in Montgomery County, Maryland. Drawing on extensive experience across public service sectors, I have dedicated my career to enhancing community engagement and services, maintaining high standards and a commitment to excellence.My journey began at a non-profit community center with a soup kitchen, where I managed programming from a young age. I then spent a decade with Kansas City Parks and Recreation, followed by five years improving life in Takoma Park, Maryland. Currently, I lead operations at the Silver Spring Civic Building, a role I’ve held since 2013. My work has earned recognition locally and nationally. I hold a Master’s degree in Public Leadership with a focus on Multi-sector Management from George Washington University, a CPM designation from the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, Lean Six Sigma certification, and a BA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Additionally, I serve on various civic boards and advisory groups. This blend of hands-on experience and ongoing education has been instrumental in achieving impactful results.Outside of work, I stay current by reading a wide range of books and articles, and keeping up with the news. I have a deep appreciation for diplomacy and international relations, and I enjoy traveling both nationally and internationally. Additionally, I spend time outdoors with my family, participate in regional community events, and explore downtown Silver Spring.
