In the heat of the season, set up of Robinair AC Carts has taken a majority of my day............along with the windshield time needed to cover this territory. Before AC Carts crank up, I visit shop for support of diagnostics and demo new diagnostic equipment, per their needs, and also find myself helping out with past issues of said product. The training has been more on the job, in the field, learn as I go and I guess this is more common these days.

Update jobber store inventories. Build awareness of availability of product outside OE exclusivity, at all levels. Quarterly update customers on new categories being introduced to the aftermarket.

Start up sales rep agency. Picked up R&B Inc ( Dorman/Motormite) as main mfg. Chicago Pneumatic allowed us to be the 1st agency to represent their line in over 100 years, until a partner left to rep it directly. Had several other small lines but couldn't get a foot in the door with any of them. Company folded when Dorman Products took line away and went with direct reps - which I was able to secure a position with them then.

Outside sales covering the Houston Area, North as far as Palestine Texas and East to Orange Texas. Independent Auto Parts Stores were main focus. Support programs, assist with inventory management, and help resolve any issues between customer and warehouse.

Family owned business. Grandfather (Ed) started in 1925. Began working summers thru high school. Worked all departments: receiving, will-call, phone room. Ended up overseeing the phone room and will-call departments. Had a few small lines responsible for maintaining. Became Sales Manager which required monthly sales meetings and promotions to oversee and schedule, while still handling 3 days a week outside sales route.
