I am a research associate in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) Sociotechnical Systems Research Center (SSRC) in the Institute for Data, Systems, and Society (IDSS). I am also a lecturer in the MIT System Design & Management (SDM) program where I teach systems engineering in the SDM core course.My research focuses on improving the performance of technically-driven organizations and their product offerings. I am interested in identifying:- how to integrate knowledge across discipline and functional boundaries (e.g., engineering and management)- how to better manage product development programs to improve their performance and deliverables - how to improve the performance of technical organizations using deliberate processes - how to manage enterprise-level change in technical organizations to improve overall performance how to effectively manage collectives of products (e.g., systems-of-systems, product families, product portfolios) I am editor-in-chief of the book Integrating Program Management and Systems Engineering (2017, Wiley).You can see more about me at my MIT webpage http://rebentisch.mit.edu
