Oversaw the management and deployment of both wireless (WLAN) and wired (LAN) networks across 40+ residential halls and academic buildings. Collaborated extensively with Extreme Network and Avaya solutions to execute these tasks. Concurrently served as a proficient Linux System Administrator, handling the management and deployment of Linux-based solutions. Designed, configured, and implemented the networks for several newly constructed academic buildings, including the state-of-the-art academic facility, science building addition, and the new Rose-Harper residence hall. Led the comprehensive migration of the entire campus, encompassing over 1,000 access points, from the previous Avaya 9100 wireless system to the cutting-edge Extreme Cloud IQ 410C access points. This extensive undertaking involved mounting a substantial portion of access points and validating wireless design using Ekahau tools. Executed the transition from Identity Engines NAC to the advanced Extreme Control Radius solution across the campus.Drove the adoption of Avaya SIP J169 and J179 phones across the campus, successfully transitioning from a mixture of analog and digital phones operating on an older Nortel CS1000 PBX system. Developed API integrations and customized web portals for Wi-Fi users, enabling seamless deployment of PPSK wireless codes to users. Responding to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, facilitated the deployment of Azure Active Directory, SharePoint, and OneDrive to empower campus employees with efficient remote file sharing solutions.
