Saint Emilion

Located in the village of Saint Sulpice de Faleyrens, one of the villages of the Saint Emilion appellation, Château Edmus produces a Saint Emilion Grand Cru and a second wine, Les Portes du Château Edmus. The wines are served in fine restaurants (Ducasse, Dutournier, Taillevent) and can be bought in France, the United States, England, Belgium, the Czeck Republic, Switzerland, Japan, China, Turkey, Germany and Bulgaria.Since they took over, the partners have taken every step to restore the vineyard to its historic heights choosing "RENASCETUR GLORIOSIUS"​ as the motto to celebrate the chateau's rebirth and the phoenix as the symbol of this restoration. With the assistance of Stéphane Derenoncourt (who also consults for Clos Fourtet, Pavie Macquin, Smith Haut Lafitte, Prieuré Lichine to name a few), they took a number of actions such as in-depth work in the vines, yield limitations, selection of the best plots, aging in new French oak barrels. Some of Château Edmus vintages have received outstanding scores from professional critics and were ranked "Remarkable wine"​ by the Guide Hachette.

Assurance & Capital Partners (ACP)was formed in September 1998 at the joint initiative of Eric Remus and William Gallagher Associates, a leading US broker in specialist industries such as high technology, biotechnology and private equity/venture capital. ACP, as insurance broker, quickly became a leading actor serving the French private equity market and the directors and officers of publicly listed companies. It positioned itself at the intellectual edge of the market regularly publishing white papers co-written with leading law firms on subjects such as directors and officers liability insurance, liability risks incurred by private equity investors, the development of compliance issues in the financial sector and in listed corporations, representations and warranties insurance. ACP was sold to Siaci Saint Honoré (S2H) in September 2010 to become S2H's Financial Risks specialty department. Eric Remus remains close to S2H and his former team and consults on matters related to M&A and transactional insurance. He coordinates the annual "Corporate Finance and Insurance"​ Conference organized every year by S2H.

Risque & Finance was formed in 1989 at the joint initiative of London-based broker Special Risk Services and Eric Remus to offer third party credit enhancement solutions to the financial players in the developing securitization market in France. In the early 90s, Eric Remus widened the scope of Risque & Finance services arranging and placing professional insurances (crime, fidelity, liability) to financial services providers using both the London and French markets. With the benefit of his experience as corporate banker (1981 - 1989), Eric Remus became a specialist to the nascent private equity market, an industry he has since continually served. When Risque & Finance's leading shareholder, Special Risk Services, was acquired by Aon in the mid-90s, Eric Remus joined Aon France before forming Assurance & Capital Partners in 1998.
