Primary responsibilities included the oversight of all evaluation reports, awards program, establishing policies & procedures, personnel management, and personnel records. Advised the battalion command team on personnel issues and unit functions. Directed the battalion's functions within the critical personnel systems, personnel readiness management, personnel accounting, and strength reporting. Coordinated all aspects of personnel services, finance services, chaplaincy activities, command information services, and legal services support. AUG 2009 – AUG 2010Battalion Staff Officer (S7/S9), 1LT (O2) US Army, Field Artillery Branch2-23IN BN, 4-2 SBCT, Camp Taji, IraqInformation Operations and Civil Military Operations Officer while deployed under Operation Iraqi Freedom (09-10) to Taji, Iraq. Responsible for the coordination, synchronization, and orchestration of all non-lethal effects of a 763-man Stryker Brigade Combat Team Infantry Battalion. Regularly coordinated and interfaced with critical intelligence enablers, providing effective resources and coverage throughout the area of operations. Coordinated over 100 humanitarian assistance events, and successfully built a relationship amongst Iraqi government, local leaders, and the local security forces. Developed and managed the implementation of local infrastructure development projects, valued at over $10M.
