Transitioned Ft. Hood IPv4 L2/L3 network to a MPLS campus infrastructure. Designed and implemented the strategy to cutover 1800 plus buildings/networks into the new MPLS model over a one year period. Developed network documentation and policies related to users connecting to the network, security policies for different networking devices connecting to the network, and overall move, add and changes.Configured HP Openview, Whats Up Gold and Ironview as the management and monitoring software for the new network.

As a member of the CTN-5 network engineering router group at LANL, I provide technical support in the development, deployment, and operation of the Laboratory's unclassified and classified networks. These networks encompass the entire Lab site (over 42 square miles), which provided connectivity for over 20,000 user workstations and servers; we run over a 10Gig backbone. Our IGP was OSPF and the main BGP peers for our networks are Internet 2 and ESNet. My work environment included working in teams, intergroup projects, and individually on time sensitive projects.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

At worked two contracts while at EDS (GM truck plant in Arlington, TX and Performance Engineering/Capacity Planning group for American Airlines, US Airways, Travelocity, and Sabre).Job duties at the GM plant included networking and system administration duties. All network or system troubleshooting was time sensitive and met with pressure by management, because this was a production facility and each minute of downtime resulted in money lost.
