I have just started as the Chief Executive of the National Disclosure and Barring Service, after spending over 4 years as Chief Executive of Wirral Council, a large unitary local authority on Merseyside. Wirral is a beautiful part of the world steeped in Viking and modern industrial history. A Council that is making great progress. Since 2015 when I joined we have a common vision and a shared plan signed up to by all Wirral stakeholders. A thriving partnership at Borough and City Region levels, and are delivering all 20 of our Pledges made to our residents. We have fully integrated all our care functions with the NHS and all our Community Safety services with the Pokice and Fire. We have also set up a new company that has secured nearly one billion pounds worth of investment to Wirral. We have launched a Deal with our residents called ‘Wirral Together’. I am a strategic thinker and whole system leader with a track record of delivering significant improvements and service transformation. Creative and innovative, working in Member led environments and manging tight resources effectively.
