I'm currently working for an IT oursource company. I worked as a Service Desk agent until Jan 2013.. I took calls from a single 2000+ seat client. We use ConnectWise to log our tickets and track our ticketing time and progress. I handled what incidents I have access/authorization to work on and escalate the others to the approriate teams. I averaged about 25 - 30 calls per day, with around 80% first a call resolution rate. I was in a rotation that would manage any Priority 1 incident as it happened, open a bridge line if needed, and drive the ticket to resolution.Typical calls include:- troubleshooting hardware malfunctions- technical glitches with enterprise software- Active Directory account issues- troubleshooting/help with MS Office applications (generally Outlook, Excel and Word)- troubleshooting network connectivity- troubleshooting access to wireless networks (home and work)- general troubleshooting of Citrix profiles- assisting with mobile device setups (Blackberry, Apple and Droid)- BES account troubleshooting- new user PC setup

After 14 years in the mortgage industry I was changing careers into the IT industry. I had taken a few classes at a local college and applied for an entry level position at W&O Supply. This was a good company to work for and I liked everyone there (and almost everyone liked me). I was extremely green to begin with, but as time passed I learned the different software they used and was used to rebuilding the infected computers that users would send in. I was able to answer most user's questions when they called the Helpdesk. I learned a lot working in an always busy IT dept.

Access e* Mortgage is the company I worked for after closing down Aberdeen Mortgage. Access e* was a nice company to work for. The owner let loan officers do their own thing to gather business. The management was very laid back, but strict when it came to compliance. And they put on a nice Christmas party for all employees. :-)

Aberdeen Mortgage Company was a company I started in 2001. It had a good run for many years. I worked on refinances during the boom years and after that continued to make a living based on the referrals of people I had done loans for in the past. During that time I worked on Conventional, VA, and Alt-A types of loans. Because of my client base I was able to pretty much stay away from sub-prime loans.I eventually closed the company down because I could see the writing on the wall for one-person mortgage shops. Changes to mortgage laws were going to make it more difficult to stay in business on my own. One of the biggest factors was that FHA business was becoming the largest market share for mortgages (at the time). I figured I needed to be able to offer FHA loans to customers. I didn't have the ability to become FHA licensed as a one-person shop so I decided to work for another company who was already licensed.
