Responsible for training new pilots and weapons systems officers in the systems and tactics employed by the F/A-18 Super Hornet. Fully Qualified to instruct every phase of training.Routinely charged with managing the flight schedule of the Navy’s largest squadron as the operations duty officer, involving over 75 aircraft, 900 personnel, and the multiple priorities of those involved in executing the Fleet Replacement Syllabus.Successfully planned and executed a squadron detachment from Naval Air Station (NAS) Lemoore to NAS Key West as the Officer in Charge (OIC). Lead a team of 25 instructor officers, 100 enlisted, and 15 officers under instruction in the completion of 273 sorties, utilizing 10 F/A-18s.As an auxiliary management duty, directly responsible for coordination with Navy Personnel Command regarding incoming senior officers returning to flying billets. Managed the training plans of over 100 high ranking individuals.Served as the Ground Safety Officer, a billet normally held by a dedicated Government Service specialist. Oversaw the implementation of and compliance with Navy Occupational Safety and Health (NAVOSH) and OSHA regulations. Personally planned and conducted three “Safety Stand Downs” involving training of 767 active duty personnel. Additionally ran continuous analysis on work place and off duty injuries by service members. Provided that analytical data to the Naval Safety Center to aide in the implementation of more safe practices.As the Legal Officer, prepared over 30 Nonjudicial punishment (NJP) packages, 3 Administrative discharges, and 2 Court Martials.

Completed two complete work up cycles and served overseas on two combat deployments aboard a US aircraft carrier. Executed Close Air Support (CAS) missions in support of friendly forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.Served as the representative for Carrier Air Wing Nine (CVW 9) at the Combined Air and Space Operations Center (CAOC) in Qatar during Arabian Gulf operations. Coordinated with US Air Force and US Marine Corps assets for the security and operational readiness of the Strike Group. Selected to fill the vital role as Quality Assurance Officer, normally a Lieutenant Commander (O4) billet, responsible for the oversight of all F/A-18 maintenance programs. Leadership and masterful organizational skills contributed to the squadron’s success during the 2013 Commander, Naval Air Forces (CNAF) Aviation Maintenance Inspection. Served as the senior officer of 26 enlisted sailors in the squadron’s Line Division. Ensured appropriate training of personnel, and maintained daily maintenance schedules for 12 F/A-18F Super Hornets.Completed the United States Navy Legal Officer Course in Military Justice and Civil Law with 92.83% final GPA and served as the squadron’s Legal Officer. Personally notarized over 200 Powers of Attorney in preparation for deployment while managing the squadron’s military justice implementation through 33 NJP proceedings and 17 administrative discharges.
